16. Clement HOWARD [ Parents ]. Born about 1895 in Stockport, Clement died there 1/11/1952, age 57. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “HOWARD Clement of 19 Bossington Close Offerton Stockport Cheshire died 1 November 1952 at 26 Poplar Grove Stockport Administration Manchester 19 December to Annie Howard widow. Effects £1256.” (The equivalent of around £37,554 today.) Occupation: Confectioner (1939). In 1930, when Clement was age about 35, he married Annie CATLOW in Stockport. Annie was born 30/1/1902 in Stockport and died there 22/9/1975, age 73. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “HOWARD Annie of 19 Bossington Close Offerton Stockport died 22 September 1975 Probate Sheffield 24 October £7690.” (The equivalent of around £76,285 today.) They had the following child: (1) Dorothy Clementine , born 5/3/1936 in Stockport and died there December 2003, age 67. Doro thy never married. 17. Herbert HOWARD [ Parents ]. Born 1897 in Stockport and died there in 1929, age 32. In 1923, when Herbert was age about 26, he married LILY HOPKINSON (1897-?) in Stockport. They had the following child: (1) Albert , born 13/2/1925 in Edgeley, Stockport and died 8/3/1973 in Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, age 48. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “HOWARD Albert of 147 Wilshaw Gro[ve] Ashton-under-Lyne Lancs died 8 March 1973 Administration Manchester 18 May £1148.” (The equivalent of around £14,465 today.) On 2/4/1956, when Albert was age 31, he married Lily BROWN , daughter of James BROWN , a labourer, in St Peter, Ashton-under-Lyne. Lily was born about 1922. It is not known when she died. Albert and Lily had no children.
