9. Wilson BRADBURY [ Parents ]. Born 25/3/1866 in Saddleworth, Wilson died 4/1/1953 in Saddleworth, age 86. Occupation: Woollen Piecer. On 5/7/1888, when Wilson was age 22, he married Lucy BRIERLEY at St Thomas, Friarmere, Saddleworth. Lucy was born 16/11/1864 in Saddleworth and died 18/11/1933 in Delph, age 69. They had the following children, all born Saddleworth: (1) Maurice Reed , born 1889 and died 1955 age about 65. (2) Clara , born 1891. (3) Archibald Carlton , born January 1893 and baptized 1/2/1893 at St Thomas, Friarmere. Archibald died shortly after and was buried at St Thomas 16/2/1893. (4) Florence , born about 1894 and died 1911, age about 16. (5) Nellie , born 16/4/1896 and died 21/2/1978, age 81. (6) Charles Herbert , born 10/11/1899 and died 1981, age about 80. (7) Clarence , born 26/7/1902 and died 1970, age about 68. (8) Lewis , born 4/6/1904 and died October 1985, age 81. (9) Eunice , born 25/1/1907 and died 1993, age about 85. (10) John (known as Jack), born 5/9/1909 and died 2001, age about 91. 10. James Franklin BRADBURY [ Parents ]. Born 1858 in Saddleworth. James died 14/6/1915 in Dobcross, Saddleworth, age 56. Occupation: Woollen Weaver. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “BRADBURY James Franklin of 6 Bankfield Terrace Dobcross Saddleworth Yorkshire died 14 June 1915 Administration Wakefield 5 August to Esther Emma Bradbury widow. Effects £137 17s.” (The equivalent of around £16,974 today.) On 21/1/1885, when James Franklin was age 26, he married Louisa SEVILLE (1862-1899) in St Chad, Saddleworth. They had the following children, both born in Saddleworth: (1) Maud , born born 16/7/1886 and baptized 29/8/1856 in St Chad, Saddleworth. Maud died in 1968 in Saddleworth, age 82. On 16/8/1913, when Maud was age 28, she married Harold Orlando HORSFALL (1886-1917) in St Chad. (2) Annie , born 5/12/1883 and died in 1963 in Upper Agbrigg, Huddersfield, age 74. On 16/2/1914, when Annie was age 25, she married Ben KENWORTHY (1883-1952) in St Chad, Saddleworth. On 1/1/1900, when James Franklin was age 41, he married Esther Emma SYKES (1868-1951) in St Thomas, Friarmere, Saddleworth. They had the following child: (1) John Edward , born 1901 in Saddleworth and died 8/2/1930 at the Infirmary, Ashton-under-Lyne, age 28. On 19/11/1921, when Esther Emma was age 53, she married her late husband's brother Samuel Radcliffe BRADBURY (1853-1928) in Manchester Cathedral. 11. Joseph BRADBURY [ Parents ]. Born 29/1/1865 in Delph and baptized 23/7/1865 in St Chad, Saddleworth. Joseph died 18/2/1931 in 4 Millgate, Delph, age 66. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads "BRADBURY Joseph of 4 Millgate Delph near Oldham died 18 February 1931 Administration Lancaster 16 February [1952] to Ethel Howard widow. Effects £382 17s." (Worth around £12,830 today.) Occupation: Woollen Warper. (Tap/click image to enlarge.) On 22/8/1887, when Joseph was age 23, he married Ann Eliza WRIGLEY , daughter of Frank and Betty Wrigley in St Chad, Saddleworth. Born 15/2/1865 in Saddleworth, Ann Eliza died there on 11/9/1940, age 75. They had the following children, all born Saddleworth: (1) Albert , born about 1888. (2) Sarah Jane , born 1889. (3) Ethel , born 16/11/1893. On 28/4/1917, when Ethel was age 23, she married Julius HOWARD , son of Senior HOWARD and Elizabeth Hannah SHAW , in St Chad, Saddleworth. Ethel died 29/4/1962 in Blackpool, age 59. (4) Evelyn , born 1904 and died 3/12/1982 in Upper Mill, Saddleworth, age 78. In 1927, when Evelyn was age 23, she married Frank Eustace WIDD . Frank was born 21/10/1902 and died 23/2/1970, age 67. 12. Stanley BRADBURY [ Parents ]. Born 7/8/1868 in Saddleworth, Stanley died 12/12/1935 in Warrington, age 67. Occupation: Telegraphist. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “BRADBURY Stanley of 121 Warrington Road Penketh Warrington died 12 December 1935 Probate Liverpool 20 January to Leah Bradbury widow. Effects £13 18s 11d.” (The equivalent of around £1,066.00 today.) On 6/4/1891, when Stanley was age 22, he married Leah MARTIN , in St Thomas, Bradley in Woodhouse, Huddersfield. Born 8/5/1870 in Huddersfield, Leah died 29/5/1948 in Warrington, age 77. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “BRADBURY Leah of 121 Warrington Road Penketh Warrington widow died 29 May 1948 Probate Liverpool 28 April [1951] to Doris Grounds (wife of George Baker Grounds). Effects £8 16s 10d.” (The equivalent of around £328 today.) They had the following children: (1) Harold , born 25/6/1892 in Huddersfield. (2) James Franklin , born 19/9/1894 and baptized 20/10/1894 in St Thomas, Bradley in Woodhouse, Huddersfield. James Franklin died 9/7/1964 in Warrington, age 69. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads "BRADBURY James Franklin of 105 Orford Road Poulton with Fearnhead near Warrington died 9 July 1964 Administration Liverpool 28 August to Roy Bradbury wages clerk. £2311. (Worth around £51,535 today.) In 1927, when James was age 32, he married Alice ROYLE (1899-1943) in Warrington. They had a son, Roy (1927-2004). (3) Leonard , born 9/9/1896 and baptized 4/10/1896 in Christ Church, Latchford, Cheshire. Leonard died in 1955 in Warrington, age 58. In 1922, when James was age 26, he married Nina Victoria TOLE (1897- 1983) in Warrington. (4) Doris , born 23/9/1900 and baptized 4/11/1900 in Christ Church, Latchford, Cheshire. Doris died in 1982 in Warrington, age 81. In 1930, when Doris was age 30, he married George Baker GROUNDS (1899-1966) in Warrington. 13. Harry BRADBURY [ Parents ]. Born 26/2/1893 in Oldham and died 26/9/1956 in Shaw, Lancashire, age 63. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads “BRADBURY Harry of 40 Albert Avenue Shaw Lancashire died 26 September 1956 Administration Manchester 7 December to Edna Bradbury widow. Effects £772 16s. 7d. (Worth around £21,644 today.) Occupation: Joiner. On 9/10/1924, when Harry was age 31, he married Edna TAYLOR in Oldham. Edna was born 14/7/1898 in Oldham and died 22/6/1957 in Chadderton, age 58. An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “BRADBURY Edna of 40 Albert Avenue Shaw Oldham widow died 22 June 1957 at 50 Shelley Road Chadderton Lancashire Administration Manchester 17 July to William Bradbury motor salesman. Effects £1186 0s. 9d. (Worth around £31,666 today.) They had the following children: (1) William , born 14/4/1927 in Oldham and died 1/3/1978 in Chadderton, age 50. On 17/7/1948, when William was age 21, he married Doris OPENSHAW in Oldham. Doris was born 17/4/1927 in Oldham and died 25/9/2001 in Halifax, age 74. Plus one other who may still be living.
