17. Henry CHAPPLE [ Parents ]. Baptized 26/6/1670 in Branscombe. Henry died 1741 age 71 and was buried 8/3/1741 in Branscombe.  Occupation: Publican. About 1697 when Henry was 27, he married Elizabeth (maiden name and exact date unknown), in Devon. Elizabeth died 1741 and was buried 8/3/1741 in Branscombe. They had the following children: (1) Elizabeth , baptized in 26/4/1698. Elizabeth married John BOYER . On 8/12/1726, when Elizabeth was about 28, she married William BOYER in Branscombe. (2) Henry [ 19 ] . (3) Isaac , baptized 2/2/1705 in Branscombe and died there in October 1766, age 61. He was buried 26/10/1766, also in Branscombe. On 9/2/1731 when Isaac was age about 26, he married Sarah NORTHCOTT in Branscombe. Sarah died 16/5/1744. On 2/7/1745 when Isaac was 40, he married Elizabeth TUCKER . Elizabeth died in 1766. (4) Joan , baptized 9/5/1708 in Branscombe and died 1709. (5) Joan , baptized 17/2/1712 in Branscombe. (6)   William , died 1785. On 23/7/1729 William married Joan BLAKEWAY . Joan died in 1786. 18. Henry CHAPPLE [ Parents ]. Born 1670. It’s not known when Henry died. Henry’s wife is unknown. They had the following children: (1) Anthony [ 20 ] . (2) James [ 21 ] . (3) Simon , born about 1698 in Dalwood. Simon married Mary , maiden name and date unknown. Mary was born about 1700. (4) Richard [ 22 ] .

They had the following children: (1) Robert [ 23 ] . (2) Frances , born 1729. (3) Thomas , born 1733. (4) Joel [ 24 ] . (5) John [ 25 ] . (6) William [ 26 ] . (7) Henry [ 27 ] . 20. Anthony CHAPPLE [ Parents ]. Born about 1695 in Dalwood, it’s not known when Anthony died. Anthony married Mary (maiden name and date unknown). They had the following children, all events in Dalwood: (1) Aragine , baptized 13/10/1734. (2) Rose , baptized 7/11/1736. (3) Eli , baptized 7/11/1742. (4) Ruth , baptized 27/12/1744. (5) Amos [ 28 ] . (6) Christian , baptized 13/5/1750 and died in November 1768, age 18. Christian was buried 13/11/1768. (7) Diana , baptized 1/9/1754. 21. James CHAPPLE [ Parents ]. Born 1700 and died 1763, age 63. About 1720, when he was 20, James married Joan TAYLOR .  Born about 1700, Joan died 1772. They had the following children: (1) John James [ 29 ] . (2) James [ 30 ] . (3) Mary , baptized 9/12/1733 in Dalwood. On 5/5/1757 when Mary was 25, she married Robert MAUNDER in Axminster. 22. Richard CHAPPLE [ Parents ]. Born about 1700 in Dalwood, it’s not known when Richard died. Richard married Mary (maiden name and date unknown). Born about 1700, Mary died in February 1767 in Dalwood, age about 67, and was buried there 8/2/1767. They had the following children, all born/baptized and died in Dalwood: (1) Richard , born 1728 and died 15/3/1735, age 7. (2) Polly , born 1730. (3) Eve , baptized 31/10/1731 and died around 1733, age 2. (4) Henry , born about 1732. Henry married Mary HAWKES , who was born about 1735. (5) Eve , baptized 1/12/1734. (6) Richard [ 31 ] .
