15. Walter George Leslie TIPPINS [ Parents ] . Born 25/12/1896 in West Ham, Walter George Leslie died 15/3/1940 in Isleworth, age 43. Occupation: Butcher (1911); Artificial flower maker (1939). An entry in the National Probate Calendar reads: “Tippins Walter George Leslie of 246 Twickenham Road Isleworth Middlesex died 15 March 1940 Administration London 15 June to Amelia Elizabeth Sarah Tippins widow. Effects £730.” (The equivalent of about £45,400 today.) In 1919, when Walter George Leslie was age 22, he married Amelia Elizabeth Sarah RAINBIRD , daughter of John Edward RAINBIRD and Amelia REED , in West Ham. Born 13/5/1894 in Bethnal Green, Amelia Elizabeth Sarah died 13/2/1965 in Isleworth, age 70. Walter was Amelia’s second husband. She married her first, Walter JOPLING (1891-1919 on 12/5/1913 in St Paul, Bethnal Green. In 1942 Amelia married Reginald Herbert CAINES (1885-1953) in Isleworth. Walter George Leslie and Amelia Elizabeth Sarah had the following children: (1) Denis John , born 31/8/1927 in Twickenham and died 21/5/2017 in Isleworth, age 89. On 7/8/1948, when Denis John was age 20, he married Patricia Rose LOVETT (1928-2010) in Christ Church, Richmond, Surrey. And 3 other children who may still be alive.
