7. Thomas TIPPINS [ Parents ] . Baptized 6/2/1848 in West Hackney Church, London. Thomas died 5/6/1895 in Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, age 47 and was buried 8/6/1895 in Chingford Mount Cemetery, London. Occupation: Vellum binder. On 25/3/1877, when Thomas was age 29, he married Annie SMITH in St Mark’s, Dalston. Annie was born about 1851 in Southwold, Suffolk, and died in 1936 in Edmonton, age about 84. They had the following children, all born in Hackney: (1) Ethel Annie , born 1878. (2) Thomas William [ 11 ] . (3) Horace Alfred [ 12 ] . (4) Frank Hubert [ 13 ] . 8. Frederick TIPPINS [ Parents ]. Born 24/5/1849 in Hackney and baptized 24/6/1849 in West Hackney Church. In 1870, Frederick emigrated to Canada, according to his entry in the Canadian 1911 census. Frederick died 28/8/1930 in Ottawa, age 81. Cause of death certified as Duodenal ulcer causing obstruction. He was buried in St Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Charteris, Quebec. On 28/9/1879, when Frederick was age 30, he married Sarah HAVELIN , daughter of Andrew HAVELIN and Eliza DAGG . Sarah was born 24/5/1849 in Hackney and died 12/4/1933 in Ottawa, age 75. Cause of death certified as (1) Senility; (2) Endocarditis. She was buried in St Matthew's Anglican Cemetery, Charteris, Quebec. They had the following children, all born in Quebec according to the 1911 Canada census: (1) Eliza Ann , born 2/1/1882. (2) William James , born 25/4/1884 and died 13/5/1947 in Shawville, Quebec, age 63. (3) Martha Jane , born 2/2/1885. (4) Matthew , born 26/2/1886. (5) Andrew Gardiner , born 3/1/1888 and died 16/11/1974 in Renfrew, Ontario, age 86. (6) Maria , born about February 1888. (7) Georgina , born 14/5/1892. (8) Louisa , born about March 1894. (9) Frederick Jonathan , born about January 1896 and died 8/7/1954 in Shawville, Quebec, age 58. (10) Bert Hodge , born about March 1900 and died 17/5/1978 in Mississauga Hospital, Ottawa, age 78. 9. Samuel Thomas TIPPINS [ Parents ]. Born about 1846 in Spitalfields, Middlesex and died 1925 in Fulham, age about 79. Occupation: Boot maker. On 23/12/1866, when Samuel Thomas was age 20, he married Mary Ann HAYES in St James, Shoreditch. Born about 1847 in Bermondsey, Mary Ann died there in 1915, age about 67. They had the following children: (1) Walter William [ 14 ] . (2) Matilda , born in February 1871 in Bow and died in December 1871 in 11 Nelson Street, Bethnal Green, age 10 months. On 21/12/1871 Matilda was buried in Victoria Park Cemetery, Hackney. (3) Arthur Samuel , born 1873 in Hackney and died 1890 in West Ham, age about 16. (4) Albert Edward , born 21/6/1876 in Bethnal Green and baptized 9/7/1876 in St Jude, Whitechapel. Albert Edward died in 1878, age 2. (5) Rosina , born 8/8/1877 in Westminster and baptized 30/3/1879 in St Anne’s, Westminster. Rosina died 1947 in Brentford, age 69. (6) Florence , born 9/3/1879 in Westminster and baptized 30/3/1879 in St Anne’s. Florence died 1931 in Paddington, age 52. In 1894, when Florence was age 15, she married Arthur Charles STACEY (1872-?) in West Ham. There’s no evidence they had any children. (7) Ada , born 1880 in Westminster and died there in 1881.

4. Robert Percy Hodge TIPPINS [ Parents ]. Born 31/12/1829 in Hoxton and baptized 28/1/1830 at St Leonard’s Shoreditch. Robert Percy died 21/1/1907 in Chorlton upon Medlock, Lancashire, age 77. He was buried 29/1/1907 at the Southern Cemetery, Manchester (section I grave number 1090). Occupation: Pianoforte tuner. An entry in the National Probate Register reads: “TIPPINS Robert Percy Hodge of 4 Dover Street Manchester 13 died 21 January 1907 Administration Manchester 29 January to Herbert Frank Tippins of no occupation. Effects £2 11s. 6d.” (Worth around £348 today.) On 13/5/1850, when Robert Percy was age 20, he married Mary Ann Frances OSBORN , daughter of Henry and Ann OSBORN , at West Hackney Church, London. Mary Ann was baptized 23/12/1832, in St Martins-in-the-Field, London. It is not known when she died. They had the following children: (1) Henry Robert , born 1859 in Hackney. (2) Ada, born about 1863 in Manchester. (3) Frederick , born about 1865 in Chorlton upon Medlock. (4) Gertrude , born about 1868 in Chorlton upon Medlock. (5) Helena Harriet , born 1871 in Chorlton upon Medlock. (6) Herbert Frank [10] . 5. Albert TIPPINS [ Parents ]. Baptized 1/6/1842 in West Hackney Church, London. Albert died 1890 in Camberwell, London, age about 48. Occupation: Photographic Artist. In 1870, when Albert was age 28, he married Eliza Price BROWN in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Eliza was born about 1840 in Grantham and had been married before. Her first husband is unknown but they had a daughter, Mary BROWN , born about 1864 also in Grantham. Mary appears as “Mary Tippins, daughter” in the 1871 census but correctly as “Mary Brown, step-daughter” in the 1881 census. They had the following children, all born in Sleaford except Alice Mabel: (1) Martha , born 1871. (2) Albert , born 15/9/1874. (3) George William , born 13/3/1877 and died in 1945 in Cardiff, age about 67. (4) Ada Isabel , born 30/6/1880 and died in 1962 in Bethnal Green, age 82. On 25/12/1900, when Ada Isobel was age 23, she married Louis Victor Eugene Billers TREVELLYAN in Christ Church, West Green, Haringey. Louis was born 1/12/1878 and died in 1955, age 76. (5) Ethel , born about 1882. (6) Alice Mabel , born 1885 in Southwark, London and baptized 5/8/1885 in Lady Margaret Church, Walworth. 6. Henry TIPPINS [ Parents ]. Baptized 16/4/1843 in West Hackney Church, London. Henry died November 1900, age 57, and was buried 22/11/1900 in Abney Park cemetery, Stoke Newington. Occupation: Vellum binder. On 29/6/1867, when Henry was age 24, he married Mary Eleanor SHARMAN in St John the Baptist Church, Shoreditch. Eleanor was born 1842 in Hackney and died 1904 in Wandsworth, age about 62. They had the following child: (1) Samuel Henry , born about November 1868 and died October 1869 age about 11 months. Samuel Henry was buried 20/10/1869 in Abney Park Cemetery, Stoke Newington.
