passed
away

12,
1965,
at
the
Veterans
hospital
at
Wadsworth,
Kansas.
He
entered
the
hospital
July
21,
1965,
critically
ill
of
heart
disease.
He
was
buried
in
the
Veterans
Cemetery
at
Wadsworth,
Kansas,
Monday
September
13,
with
graveside
services,
gun
salute
and
taps.
Mr.
Parris
was
born
February
16,
1889,
in
Aurora,
Nebraska.
While
very
young
he
went
with
his
parents,
the
late
Albert
Ernest
and
Mary
E.
Parris,
to
live
in
Geneva,
Nebraska.
Most
of
his
life
was
spent
in
the
Navy
until
the
close
of
World
War
I.
He
then
entered
the
Civil
Service
engineers
department
at
San
Francisco
and
Palo
Alto,
CA.,
later
at
Lincoln,
NE.
He
was
a
member
of
the
American
Legion,
Sloan-Bolton
Post
68,
Geneva
for
30
years,
also
the
George
Washington
Masonic
Lodge
No.
250,
Lincoln,
NE.;
100F
No.
65,
Geneva;
International
Union
of
Operating
Engineers,
Washington,
D.C.
through
Local
No.
6-6A-6B
of
Kansas
City,
Missouri.
He
is
survived
by
his
wife,
Mrs.
Iva Frady Parris of Kansas City, MO., and a sister, Mrs. Bonnie B. Maes of Southgate, CA.".
